1980's Music - Reflective of Decade?
The Upbeat, personal, and revolutionary music styles of the 1980's was perfectly reflective of the decade. When you think of 80's music you think of dancing and partying. The '80s as a decade was a party. People were happy, the economy was goof (for the most part), and people had time to enjoy themselves. The people were happy to hear upbeat music and be able to sing along and enjoy it. As the decade progressed, the urban scene was hearing rap, which let the urban scene listen to the struggles and relate to it through the lyrics of Funkmaster Flex, NWA, and others. Music was a major part of the '80s, and it perfectly refelcts the decade; New, Different, Vibrant, and Fun.
